Vintage H. FRANCE C. meat skewers, circa 1930’s, Silver Plated Handles, rare

Antique “H. FRANCE C” stamped meat skewers. Plated Silver handles. Metal shaft, with pointy sharp knife point-like functionality. One handle top is a sculpture of a Rooster (Le Coq), the other is of a Floral Scrolling Leaf Pattern (a very plush Fleur de Lis). This Silver Plated artistry is very detailed, with the original patina giving contrast between the more silvery surface and the patina filled indents and sides. H. FRANCE C. hand made these meat skewers mostly from between 1920 to 1940. These skewers were made in France, the Rooster looking older than the Floral Spreading Leaf Pattern. Dimensions are 9 3/8” long for each skewer; about 2” tall and 2” wide for each Silver Plated Ornamental Handle. The artistry is close to an Edwardian formal style. For an almost 100 year old antique, the condition is excellent vintage. No visible imperfections. The skewers themselves look like they have hardly been used. Collectible. D
